I have always been immensely proud of our Dedridge basketball teams over the years. We have developed this club over the last five years and it reached its pinnacle this year. The pupils in this team work hard every year and put time, commitment and effort into training once a week and playing in monthly tournaments.
From this commitment, the team battled their way through the end of season playoffs to earn one of the top two spots to represent West Lothian at the Lothians and Borders Finals at the Orium on Wednesday 6th June. Here we played against the top two teams from City of Edinburgh, Mid Lothian and the Borders. The team went unbeaten in the group stages with two draws and a win against tough opposition. They narrowly missed out on making it to the finals of the day! One of the teams they drew 10-10 with went on to win the grand finals. This shows how much our pupils have developed and how hard they have worked to go all the way against the best of the best.
