Primary 2 Home Learning

Good morning Primary 2. Hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend.

This week on Education City I have created a MyCity to help you learn about verbs. Take a look in the classwork section and play through the 2 games and the learn-it screen there.

In the Homework section of MyCity there is a spelling game to help you practise your common words. Play through ‘Make a Wish’ and get as many correct as you can.

If you’re looking for more, why not try BBC Bitesize where they have put together daily lessons for you to work through.

Today there are some short history videos and games where you can learn about the life of Dr. Martin Luther King. There is also maths activities about ordinal numbers and literacy activities where you can learn about letter formation and alliteration.

Have a great start to the week!

Happy Friday Primary 1!

Today I would  like you to continue with your BLOG tasks, Education City and SUMDOG. It is very close in our SUMDOG competition, I cannot wait to see which team wins at the end of today!

As today is Free Writing Friday- I would like you to spend some time free writing. If you are stuck for ideas of what to write about I thought writing about being a pirate would be super fun since yesterday you were building a new pirate ship for Captain Hook!

I have attached a WAGOLL (What A Good One Looks Like) to give you ideas and then a template to show how you can set your writing out- don’t forget your picture!

If I was a Pirate Free Writing WAGOLL

If I was a Pirate Free Writing

When writing remember a capital letter at the beginning of the sentence, finger spaces in between words and a full stop at the end.

Friday’s LEGO challenge is a very tricky one today! You are helping out Dr Who with a very special task! I have uploaded pictures to help you with what Dr Who is looking for!

Lego Challenge Day 12

I hope you all have enjoyed your tasks this week and please remember to be washing your hands and keeping yourself safe.

Have a great weekend!

Good morning Primary 1!

I hope you are having a lovely week at home working through your tasks for this week and most importantly keeping yourself safe with your family.

Please remember Education City and SUMDOG also have fun tasks for you to complete.

Over the last few weeks, lots of people have been going outside at 8pm on a Thursday evening and clapping for all our wonderful doctors, nurses, care workers and key workers who are all working so hard to keep us all safe during this time. Today you could create a Rainbow Fingerprint picture to give to someone you know working to keep us safe or put in a window of your house for everyone to see.

Today is also Day 11 of the LEGO challenge, you’ll need your best building skills for this one today or else Captain Hook will make you walk the plank!
