Good morning Primary 2. Hope you had a nice weekend.
This week there are some length and measurement activities in the classroom area in Education City. Try the comparing lengths activity before you learn about measuring the perimeter of a shape!
In the homework area in Education City there is a ue spelling activity to help practise words using that sound.
In Sumdog I have set up a ue spelling challenge to see how good you are using this sound. So head over to Sumdog and log into the Spelling section of Sumdog if you want to take part.
Good luck!

Good morning P2!
I hope you’ve had a fun long weekend and are ready to do some learning.
This week I have some counting in 10’s for you in the classwork area in Education City. There’s a learn-it screen to help show you how to do it and a video to sing along to!
In homework there are a couple of spelling games to challenge your spelling knowledge.
If you’re looking for more, why not try BBC Bitesize where they have put together daily lessons for you to work through.

Good morning Primary 2. Hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend.
This week on Education City I have created a MyCity to help you learn about verbs. Take a look in the classwork section and play through the 2 games and the learn-it screen there.
In the Homework section of MyCity there is a spelling game to help you practise your common words. Play through ‘Make a Wish’ and get as many correct as you can.

Good morning.
Welcome to our summer term in Primary 2. Hope you all had a nice Easter and were able to make the best of this unusual situation.
In the file above, you should find a list of all the sounds we will be covering this term, along with the common words we will need to practise.
You can practise these as you would have when done as homework – but feel free to be creative!
Please remember to visit Education City and play the games in the classwork and homework sections of MyCity (there’s some tricky dividing by 2 and 10 work in there this week!) as well as Sumdog.
Hope you have a good week.
Mr Benyon

Here are a few suggestions about how you can use your time at home together.
Check out on the School App from the guys at Kids Gone Wild for some Outdoor Learning activities linked to a story. There are reading, writing, maths and art activities all linked to the story Stuck by Oliver Jeffers.
Remember to log in to Education City where you can complete the classwork AND homework activities I’ve set for the week.
And give Sumdog a go! Especially the maths games, but try the spelling and reading games too.
Happy learning.
Mr Benyon
Hi Primary 2,
I hope you are all staying safe and keeping busy with lots of fun activities at home. As well as your Home Learning pack, Education City and Sumdog here are some other fun ideas for you to try at home. I am not expecting you to complete all of these but please try to give some of them a go.
