P6/5 are taking part in the BBC 500 Word Competition

P6/5 tuned into the BBC this morning and joined Zoe Ball and several authors for a live lesson. We were given some great ideas and tips for writing our stories. We particularly enjoyed the writing tips from the authors.

Please ask us about our story ideas when we get home tonight. You might be able to help us make our stories even better.

Lego Christmas Build Complete!

Our Lego Club children completed their final Christmas build today! With more than 50 different steps to build this model, it took time, effort, patience and a lot of team work. The children rotated roles each week and were very proud of their achievement.

As we prepare to welcome new members to the club in the New Year, the children will be taking on a brand new role as ‘Master Builders’. This will see them teach some of their peers the skills required to be a Lego Engineer, Supplier and Builder. And they are more than ready for the next challenge!
