All of P7 visited the War memorial for the schools service on Tuesday 11th November at 11.00am.  It was very busy and our pupils left the crosses they had named and decorated beside the memorial.  We also got a chance to look at the memorial more closely – seeing the names that had been added recently.  Here are some photos of the visit.

All pupils learned about Poppy Day and  we have had lots of creative writing and art work happening in school.  Some photos of the P6/7 challenge are here too.

P4/3 were practising their presentation skills this week. All pupils had to carry out research at home and produce a fact file about our topic Harry Potter. They then had to present their fact file to the class. The fact files were all different and were on topics such as owls, the Philosopher’s Stone and the Harry Potter films.

As part of their rainforest topic, P3B were given the challenge to create a rainforest in their classroom. We looked at many pictures or rainforests and thought about the different layers and which animals live there. Pupils were then divided into groups to create the rainforest. One group had to create the forest floor, one group were making animals, one group were making the understory and smaller trees and the final group were making the canopy and emergent layer. All pupils displayed creativity skills are were able to work as a team to create the class rainforest.
