Miss Napier & Miss Brake 🙂
P1A worked super hard in class to develop their fine motor skills. They were able to work successfully in groups and enjoyed a variety of different activities. Miss Napier was very impressed with the hard work and effort from everyone in P1A – great job! 🙂
1st star – We enjoyed learning about mini-beasts and making our own min-beast masks.
2nd star – We enjoyed writing letters to the Zoo, asking for our own animal and sharing why we would like this animal.
Wish – We would like to do some cooking next week.
Primary 1 had a fantastic day out at the zoo! We got to see a range of animals and insects, participate in a bug count activity and even play in the park. Everyone demonstrated super listening skills and made all the adults very proud. Great work P1!
1st star – We have enjoyed having Miss Duncan join our class this week. We have been impressing her with our great attitude to learning.
2nd star – We have enjoyed writing about our likes and dislikes this week. We were learning to use connectives.
wish – To do more exercise and gym.
1st star – We have enjoyed writing instructions this week. We were able to write instructions about how to wash our hands.
2nd star – We enjoyed learning about schools in the olden days and comparing them to schools nowadays.
Wish – We would like to learn more about the olden days and have a look at toys from the past.
1st star – We enjoyed learning about Katie Morag. We really liked making our own maps of the Isle of Struay! We were able to plot all the places on to our maps.
2nd star – We enjoyed watching p6/5 assembly. We think it was super and they all worked hard!
Wish – We would like to learn more French next week.
1st star – We have enjoyed learning to add. We understand the three jobs of adding!
2nd star – We enjoyed learning about different Scottish castles. We learned different parts of a castle and were able to include these in a black line castle drawing.
Wish – We would like to read more of our class novel – ‘The Twits’. We can’t wait to find out what they get up to next week!
We have had a busy week at school with our poetry competition, Hairspray rehearsals, kilt making and challenge Friday!
The competition was fierce in P6 but with only three places for finalists Miss Potter had a difficult decision to make…. however congratulations to Nicola, Georgia and Jake who are through to the finals and will be representing our class – good luck! Challenge Friday was particularly challenging today, with lots of patience and teamwork needed. However this all paid off and P6 were the winners!
Star – Finding out about Monday’s Virtual Reality visit from the Google Expeditions team! We can’t wait!
Star –Â We loved the P1 assembly – we thought they were fantastic!
Wish – We wish we could play some maths games next week.
1st star – We enjoyed performing our first ever class assembly. We all used a clear voice and Miss Napier was very proud.
2nd star – We enjoyed learning about Edinburgh Castle and really enjoyed making our own model castles using lego bricks.
Wish – We would like to learn more about Scottish castles and the different parts of the castle.
