P6/5 have been practising the literacy circles roles before beginning their proper circles. This week each pupil was given the task of creative captain. This is a favourite task as all pupils have the opportunity to show their creativity. The homework produced this week included videos, models, drawings, youtube videos, powtoons and news reports. The standard was very high. Well done everyone
MacMillan Coffee Morning – Massive Success!!
Thank you to everyone who was involved in our coffee morning for MacMillan Cancer Support on Friday. It was a massive success! There were lots of yummy cakes, biscuits and pancakes, with a nice cup of hot coffee or tea to wash them down!
Also, thank you to everyone who donated delicious home-baking. The effort was outstanding and very much appreciated. Thank you to those who donated large cakes that were raffled off and went to lucky winners – Mrs Ireland, Graeme Totten and Robin Bremner’s Grandma.
These events wouldn’t be possible without the help of the brilliant Pupil Council and parent helpers. Thank you for all your help!
The children in the classes also thoroughly enjoyed tasting yummy shortbread and deciding if it was ‘faked’ or ‘baked’.
We raised a whopping £586 for such a great cause! Thanks again!

MacMillan Coffee Morning – 25th Sept
Tomorrow, there will be a coffee morning at Boghall Primary School for pupils, parents and members of the community. The coffee morning will take place in the school hall from 10.15am until 12pm. The coffee morning will take place to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support.
There will be a selection of cakes for sale, home baking, tea, coffee and juice ranging from 10p to £1.
There will also be games such as ‘Spot the Cake’ for 20p a guess. A ‘baked or faked’ game will also be played in every classroom for the pupils and is 50p a go. In this game, you will be blindfolded and you have to taste a bit of cake and decide if it was baked or faked. Faked meaning that it was bought in a shop!
