Star 1: We really loved having the firefighters coming to visit us today. They even brought their fire engine and we got to go inside it! It was so exciting!
Star 2: We loved dressing up as people who help us this week, it was lots of fun.
Wish: We wish we could go to the Fire Station for a visit.
1st Star – We had a great time making our sound maps.
2nd Star – We loved watching the P7/6 Fairtrade assembly.
1 wish – We would love to do more reading.
Pupils from P5, 6 and 7 attended the latest round of the Bathgate Schools Football League Festival this week. They played really well and won two games and drew one. Unfortunately they lost one game. Well done to all players.
1st star – We have enjoyed learning about how the police help us. We wrote super stories about the jobs of the police!
2nd star – We have enjoyed learning how to count to 10 in French. We really liked the number race game!
Wish – We would like to learn more about number bonds to 10 and sing our number bus song again.
1st Star: We were very excited to win the Fair Trade Banana Class Competition!
2nd Star: We achieved success during a tricky maths session and we are proud we can do something new during our subtraction tasks.
Wish: We can’t wait to share our Egyptian assembly with the rest of the school on Friday.
As part of Primary 5’s work on the Scottish Parliament, they took part in a heated debate. There was a Proposing team, an Opposing team, a Chair person and an audience who voted. Pupils researched both in school and at home evidence to back up their arguments. The topic – should Minecraft be used in class?
After both teams had made fantastic, well informed points we went to a vote. The results overwhelmingly showed that Minecraft should not be used in class.

Four Primary 6s were lucky enough to go to the West Lothian heat of the Euroquiz. There were 4 very challenging rounds – geography, language, European Union and general knowedge/ culture/sport. All four pupils did a great job and have definitely learned something new! They showed commitment and determination by revising topics in their own time this week. You should all be very proud!
1st Star: We started our literacy circles in class and enjoyed a talk from the primary fives on how to complete the tasks.
2nd Star: We achieved a Head Teacher Award for making our new classmate feel welcome.
Wish: We cant wait to finish our Egyptian headdress to wear at our assembly.
