Primary 3 Two Stars and a Wish

1st Star: We have started division and have had great fun using our times tables to help us.

2nd Star: We can describe our families in French and can introduce their names.

Wish: We hope that we do not get any fun day points for missing homework next week!

5th May – 2 important letters in bags !

There will be 2 letters in bags today :

  1. A letter about online payments – you will get a second letter tomorrow that has your child’s unique code to allow you to access the system.  Even if your child is in P1-3 and you don’t pay you will still be able to log on to choose their lunch in advance.
  2. An invitation to the first of our ‘Bitesize Sessions’ that you had requested through our recent questionnaire.

P1A Two stars and a wish

1st star – We really enjoyed doing our class assembly. We thought we all used clear voices and Miss Napier is very proud of us!

2nd star – We have enjoyed using our imagination in our writing this week. We all created super characters in our stories using our own imagination.

Wish – We are looking forward to learning about our new theme – Living Things!

P4 stars and a wish!

First star – We have been learning about inheritance.  On Thursday afternoon, we got to create our own imaginary creatures – a mum, dad and offspring.  We got to decide which characteristics the offspring inherited from each parent! We really got to use our imagination! 🙂

Second star – We also really enjoyed doing javelin in P.E with Miss Hunter!

Our wish – For everyone to have a nice long weekend.

Primary 3/2 – 2 stars and 1 wish

1st Star –  We enjoyed watching and listening to Primary  1a’s assembly.  They did a great job. What a lot they have learned about People who help us.

2nd Star –  We enjoyed doing our yearly reflections, which helped us think  about all the work we have done in Primary 3/2.  We answered a questionnaire and chose some of our favourite things.

1 Wish – We hope to finish our rainforest display next week.

Science in Primary 5 – The Ear

Primary 5 have been enjoying learning about human sensory organs this week and what functions they perform.  Their focus yesterday was the ear.  They looked at an anatomical diagram of one and labeled all the correct parts.  They also took part in some fun experiments all about hearing.  Primary 5 can now tell you why we have 2 ears and not just one!  Next week they will be learning about taste and smell

Dragons Den in P7/6

Primary 7/6 have been working hard learning about different inventors and how their discoveries have changed society in some way.

They were then sent a challenge to design and create their own invention! We had lots of creative ideas from glasses with wipers to our own personal robots! The children worked hard in their groups to write a persuasive sales pitch and then presented their ideas, along with their prototypes, to P7.

P7 asked them lots of interesting questions, such as; the manufacturing cost of their product and what their unique selling point was. P7/6 coped well under pressure and managed to answer their questions.

P7 had to choose which business they would invest in and the winning business was ‘Charged’ – a mobile phone charger that has a percentage calculator and stops producing electricity when your device is fully charged. Rhianna and Toni presented with confidence and professionalism. Our runners up was the Solar panel phone created by Ben W, Adam S and Declan.
