1st star – We have loved doing our place value again using HTU.
2nd star – We have loved creating jellyfish, seahorses and starfish for our Under the Sea theme.
1 wish – We would love to do more place value and get another column to challenge ourselves.
* We are really enjoying listening to the story of James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl. We wrote fact files about Roald Dahl this week too.
* We had fun when we were painting our bird’s eye view pictures.
Wish – We are looking forward to our class assembly next week.
First star is the children really have engaged with the Pirates theme especially the SOS message in a bottle to save Fergus the fisherman from his captors idea.
Second star is the display charting the story is coming along nicely.
Wish would be to finish our other work quicker so we can get onto our topic work!!
Boghall Primary will be taking part in Team Jak’s ‘Bring a Gold Coin to School Day’ (£1 or £2) on Wednesday 21st September. The children seem very familiar with the charity and we have arranged for Allison Barr – Jak’s Mum – to come and collect the money we raise and tell the children more about the work they do. Thanks for your support in advance !
Star 1: We really enjoyed Pointillism Art in class this week.
Star 2: In PE we had lots of fun doing corner basketball and circuits.
Wish: We wish we could do more ICT next week!
1st Star: We have enjoyed starting our interdisciplinary learning topic of Under the Sea. We learned about Marianas Trench – the deepest place in the ocean! We can’t wait to dive into more fun next week!
2nd Star: We enjoyed meeting our new Pupil Council during assembly and are proud to have Ethan and Rachel representing Primary 3.
Wish: We would like to achieve more pom-poms and avoid any more yellow cards.

First Star – Everyone in class have been getting to grips with new routines and the class charter.
Second Star – Everyone trying hard to impress their new teacher!
Wish – To try not to give in easily when the work is a bit harder!
Following our last Parent Council Meeting on Tuesday there are a couple of areas we need help with at school.
One is to lay bark in the back garden. A group are organising themselves to do this on Thursday 22nd September. If you let us know you can help we will give more details. You would need to bring a shovel and a rake if possible – and maybe even help tidy up the rest of the garden when you are here !
We also need some help to organise the library. If you contact Vicky Dunnett on shamaggot@hotmail.co.uk to say when you would be available she will get back to you.
We will also be sending information on a ‘help session’ on how to use the blog !
Police were outside school this morning looking at parking. Please make sure that you are parked safely and legally as this will happen regularly.
Cars are NOT allowed to park on the zig-zag lines at any time – even if it is to drop -off. Please park wisely or you may be having to find money to pay for a fine.
