Primary 3 Two Stars and a Wish

1st Star: We used our imagination to create a mythical sea creature and wrote an adventure story all about it.

2nd Star: We researched sea pollution and the effect it has on our oceans. We made posters to raise awareness of ways to stop it.

Wish: We are very excited to share our Under the Sea projects with each other. We have all been working very hard to create posters and power points!

P1A Two stars and a wish

1st star – We enjoyed learning about our sense of smell in science this week. We got to smell some nice things but we didn’t enjoy the smell of vinegar!

2nd star – We enjoyed learning the sounds ‘a’ and ‘t’ this week. Miss Napier was impressed with how many words we could think of beginning with ‘t’.

Wish – We would like to learn more about our other senses in science next week.

P5 News

Hello from P5!

We have had a very busy week in P5.  We had lots of suggestions for our Two Stars and a Wish!

Star 1:

Writing Haiku’s as part of National Poetry Day (6th October).  We came up with some fabulous Haiku’s.  Ask your child to explain what a Haiku is and share their’s with you!

Star 2:

Playing our own games in PE.  Mrs Lloyd set us a challenge to create a game, including rules.  In PE this week we played two of the games.  Well done to Darren, Finlay, Zander and Mark (game 1) and Emma, Lauren and Sophie (game 2) for creating such fun games!

Wish:

Our class wish for next week is to have another chance to use Incredibox!  This is an ICT application to create pieces of music. This week we focused on beat and tempo.

Class Awards

Star of the week:  Imogem Henderson:    Lauren nominated Imogem for always being ready to learn!

Class lottery winner: Zander Park

Well done to you both.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

During Literacy Circles we had an amazing four purple cards given out to Jenna, Rory, Logan and Jake who all created amazing creations for their Creative Captain homework!

P3/2 – 2 Stars and a wish

1st Star – We loved making our portholes for our Under the Sea theme.  We choose a tropical, Arctic or deep ocean scene to demonstrate our knowledge of what each habitat looked like.

2nd Star – We enjoyed our introduction to Number Talk.  We liked the idea of sharing strategies with the other members in our class.

1 Wish – We would love to do harder sums.

P4 highlights of the week!

First star:  We really enjoyed having Miss Muir come in to work with us on Wednesday.  We can’t wait for her to come back next week!

Second star:  Larisa brought in a slideshow of photographs of her new baby sister.  It was lovely|!

Our wish: We wish Anna a very happy birthday tomorrow!
