P3 Two Stars and a Wish

1st Star: We have had great fun learning about amazing alliteration and using it in our writing.

2nd Star: We have been getting even better at our number talks in class and we really enjoyed using our multiplication skills to solve our treasure hunt.

Wish: Next week we want to keep all our busy bees in the hive and for no-one to lose golden time.

P7 Poppy Factory Trip

Primary 7 had a fantastic trip to Lady Haig’s Poppy Factory in Edinburgh today. The veterans that work there were very funny and we learned a lot from listening to their stories. We were also able to share with them everything we know about World War One and World War Two. Some of us were lucky enough to try on some of the old uniforms the soldiers would wear in the trenches. They were very heavy! Even Miss Armstrong had a go! We then had a tour of the factory, watching and learning from the men and women that make the poppies. Every year they make thousands of poppies that are then delivered all around Scotland.

We have had an extremely busy week in P5 planning and practicing for our assembly.

We also had some visitors 🙂 …. We had the P5s from Mrs Wiliamson’s class spend time with us.  We have been sharing our learning of Diwali and letting them participate in activities relating to our T1 topic.

We have been learning all about Armistice Day and the poem ‘In Flander’s Field’ by John Macrae.

It has been a busy, busy week!
