1st Star – We enjoyed making our Christmas hats and writing instructions on how to make them using Bossy verbs.
2nd Star – We loved doing the Smartie challenge where we had to use tally marks and a bar graph to see what kinds of Smarties were inside our tube.
1 Wish – We would love to learn more Scottish country dancing.
On Wednesday, the whole school enjoyed their Christmas lunch. P6/5 were making reindeer and santa hats to wear to their lunch. We took some class photos looking very festive in Christmas jumpers and hats. As you can see, everyone was in a party mood!
As part of our Victorians theme we have been looking at Victorian toys. We created our own jumping jacks. They were quite tricky to make because the string had to be tied in knots around other bits of string but once made they are great fun.
We really enjoyed making the owl pictures and learning about other animals that are nocturnal.
We also enjoyed the Friendship Bingo and getting to know even more about our friends in class. 
We are all looking forward to next week’s Christmas Lunch!
1st star – We enjoyed making reindeers from our handprints and think they look great on our door. Our cheeky elf Jingles also made one too!
2nd star – We have enjoyed learning to slide sounds together in phonics.
wish – We would like to do some more structured activities next term.
1st star – We enjoyed preparing for the Christmas Fair and we are really pleased that the school raised lots of money!
2nd star – We enjoyed finishing our class novel. We even impressed Miss Napier with how much we could tell her about it!
Wish – To learn even more about fractions and do some tricky questions!
1st Star: We have enjoyed learning about money, finding out how it is made and using our coins to make a value.
2nd Star: We can tell the difference between facts, things that are false and an opinion.
Wish: We are excited to spend our Christmas lunch together next week!
First star: On Thursday afternoon, we were very surprised to discover that an Elf had delivered a secret present to our classroom and left a trail of green glitter behind…magic!
Second star: On Wednesday afternoon, we did some meditation to the story of the ‘The Enchanted Forest’ with Miss Muir and we learned how breathing properly can make us feel calm and relaxed.
Wish: To do some Christmas baking!
1st Star – We loved making Scotch Broth and tasting it yesterday.
2nd Star – We enjoyed watching the Stick Man movie after we had completed lots of literacy tasks about it.
1 Wish – We think it would be good to make a paper advent calendar.
Primary 7’s from all Bathgate Primary Schools are taking part in a Christmas concert at Bathgate Academy. The concert will be on Wednesday 14th December at 7pm. Tickets are £1 for family members to come and see their children perform (under 5’s go free). If you would like any tickets, please purchase from Miss Armstrong.
