1st Star: We really enjoyed spending some class time with Mr Lauchlan and Mrs Rankine this week.
2nd Star: We are excited to start our new interdisciplinary learning theme all about the Romans.
Wish: We would like to do some Roman inspired art.
1st Star – We loved playing the Nintendo DSs which allowed us to develop our problem solving skills.
2nd Star – We enjoyed learning fractions. We found it quite easy doing halves and a bit more trickier doing quarters.
Wish – We would love to get big lego into our classroom.
1st star – We enjoyed learning about Katie Morag. We really liked making our own maps of the Isle of Struay! We were able to plot all the places on to our maps.
2nd star – We enjoyed watching p6/5 assembly. We think it was super and they all worked hard!
Wish – We would like to learn more French next week.
First star: We were pleased to have Miss Arkless back on Thursday and we are also pleased to have Miss MacGregor for four more weeks!
Second star: We got to research a Scottish city of our choice using the ipads and found out lots of interesting facts! Did you know there is more marble in Glasgow city chambers than in the Vatican?!
Our wish: To do some baking!
1st star We really enjoyed Science this week when we were working on circuits.
2nd star We had lots of fun during our Structured Activities when we were learning about Scottish Inventors.
Wish We wish Miss Duncan could keep working in our class.
Challenge Friday this week – we were given 10 minutes to look through an atlas but we had no idea what we had to look out for. Then we were given a map of Scotland and had to plot as many features of Scotland as we could – cities, towns, rivers, seas and islands. The winning group managed to successfully plot 19 points! Well done to Adam Colquhoun, Cooper MacDonald, Cameron Kelman and Destiny Nisbet.
1st Star – We enjoyed investigating the properties of material and making a waterproof jacket for a teddy.
2nd Star – We enjoyed seeing the film The Water Horse which inspired us to create our own Kelpie.
1 wish – We wish that we could learn how to make a robot teddy.
*We enjoyed show rehearsals this week.
*P5s liked being part of choir rehearsals.

1st star – We have enjoyed learning to add. We understand the three jobs of adding!
2nd star – We enjoyed learning about different Scottish castles. We learned different parts of a castle and were able to include these in a black line castle drawing.
Wish – We would like to read more of our class novel – ‘The Twits’. We can’t wait to find out what they get up to next week!
