Magic Munchie Monday 13.11.17

Well done to our Magic Munchie Monday lot this week. It was lovely to hear how hard you’ve all been working. Lots of growth mindsets across all stages of the school. This week was extra special because you got to drink your hot chocolate from our brand new Magic Munchie Monday mugs! We hope you enjoyed yourself. Keep it up!

Magic Munchie Monday 6.11.17

Well done to this week’s Magic Munchie Monday lot! Your teachers have been very impressed with your effort and it was lovely to hear you all share what you’ve been working hard on. A lot of you this week have been doing fantastic story writing. Some of you were resilient in Maths and kept trying even though you found it tricky! Keep it up!

Class Newsletters

Our Term 1 class newsletters are now on the blog. They can be found in the ‘Class Newsletters’ section on the right hand side of the main page.

The newsletters are a chance for you to see a snippet of what your child’s class has been learning about each term.

Primary 5 – 2 stars and a wish

1st Star – We took part in a handball festival at Bathgate Sports Centre. It was great fun.

2nd Star – We enjoyed maths this week where we were learning to add and subtract large amounts of money.

Wish – We would love everyone to hand in their homework the day before it’s due.

Magic Munchie Monday!

We have started a new incentive in the school called Magic Munchie Monday!

Every Monday, one pupil from each class will be selected to come along to our Magic Munchie Monday. During play time, they will come along to the Gr8 Place and have a nice warm cup of hot chocolate and a biscuit whilst chatting with Mrs Duncan and Miss Armstrong about what they’ve been doing well in.

For the next few weeks the focus for Magic Munchie Monday is for effort. Teachers and Pupil Support Workers are keeping an eye out for pupils who have been working especially hard and trying their very best.

Well done to this week’s Magic Munchie Monday nominees. It was lovely to hear how much effort you have been putting in across all different areas of the curriculum!

Parents/Carers Reading Survey

We would be grateful if you could complete the survey below on you child/ren.  The questions will inform our plans for our reading development so your views are very important.  Please do not overthink your answers – go with your ‘gut’ answer.  Please do not complete the pupil questionnaire below this on the Blog – as we are doing this in school with the children.

We really appreciate your views – we will share more information with you as this development progresses.

Thanks for your help.
