Virtual Playground Week 4 – World Book Day Special

We are delighted to share with you this week’s virtual playground! Each member of staff in this playground will be ready to interact live via skype with learners at 2pm on Thursday 4th March. They will each be providing a different activity.

Virtual Playground Wk 4

All you need to do is open the PDF and click on the member of staff who you would like to join!

This week you can:

  • Click on Mrs Thacker  or Miss Armstrong to join them and your friends in a live draw along!  You will need a pencil, paper and some colouring pens or pencils.
  • Click on Miss Potter who is deep in thought with her head in the clouds. She will be joined by Hayden and Logan from P7 too!
  • Miss Anderson will be hosting a very special episode of “The Masked Reader” with some very special guests!  Can you spot her hiding behind the bushes?

Virtual Library – World Book Day Special!

To celebrate World Book Day on Thursday, we have put together a selection of World Book Day 2021 resources including audio books, sneak peaks at your £1 books and information on our school author of the week David Walliams!

  • Eyes down for a game of Spanish bingo with Miss Preston who’s head is trapped in a dice.   You will need a piece of paper and a pencil for this game.
  • Let’s get moving with Mrs Howard – click on the picture of her skipping to join her for a skip to be fit challenge.  You will need a skipping rope, permission to skip indoors and a safe space.

After the success of our first ever Virtual Playground session last week, we are delighted to share with you another one! Each member of staff in this playground will be ready to interact live via skype with learners at 2pm, today,  on Thursday 18th February. They will each be providing a different activity.

  • Click on Mrs Thacker dancing to join her and your friends for a living room disco!
  • Click on Miss Potter who is deep in thought with her head in the clouds. She will be joined by Hayden and Logan from P7 too!
  • Eyes down for a game of bingo with Miss Preston who’s head is trapped in a dice.  She has prepared a game of French Bingo for you all.  You will need a piece of paper and a pencil for this game.
  • It’s quiz time with Miss Armstrong – let’s see how well you know our staff. (This game will be played through Kahoot, it can be easier using a second device as well as a laptop, such as a mobile phone to take part)

We are very aware that remote learning has left our learners really missing out on the social aspect of school. We have been thinking how we could offer safe, fun activities where our learners could socialise. In response to this, we are delighted to share with you our first ever virtual playground! Each member of staff in this playground will be ready to interact live via skype with learners at 2pm on Thursday 11th February. They will each be providing a different activity.

All you need to do is open the PDF and click on the member of staff who you would like to join!

Healthy with Howard: Session1

We are very aware that remote learning has left our learners really missing out on the social aspect of school. We have been thinking how we could offer safe, fun activities where our learners could socialise. In response to this, we are delighted to share with you our first ever virtual “Healthy with Howard” session.

Mrs Howard will be live via skype on Wednesday 10th at 11:30am for a skip-a- long. You just need to open the PDF and click on Mrs Howard in the picture and you will be taken to the call.
