Introducing our newly appointed P5 Reading Ambassadors Rowena and Joe and our Reading Buddies Caitlin, Jessica, Naomi, Ava, Kara, Rosie and Zara. They are going to be inspiring a love of reading across the school and community. Watch this space!
It’s nearly show time so p7s use snow day to perfect your lines, especially for scenes 15 to 20. Remember the front cover competition closes on Friday so everyone could draw an entry. Use an A4 piece of paper in portrait and draw something little mermaid related with no words or titles. P6 could be practising your dances with snowmen and choir get singing in the snow!
1st Star: We have been really excited to start using the stage for show practice!
2nd Star: We really enjoyed the challenge of grammar this week by testing our knowledge of verbs in the past, present and future.
Wish: We are looking forward to going to the P7 Ceilidh at Bathgate Academy.
Congratulations to all our Poetry finalists. The standard was exceptionally high and it was great to hear such confident individuals. Well done to all!
1st Star: We really enjoyed our trip to Sky Academy and learning all about media. We also had a great time working with Mrs O’Neill to make mini movies and pizzas.
2nd Star: We used our organisation skills and serving skills to make our Burns Supper a success.
Wish: We are looking forward to investigating a new science topic.

*P6 enjoyed filming books in Scots to share with the nursery and P1.

What a fantastic Saturday morning at M&S with our school choir! The store manager, Nick, said we should go down everyday until Christmas! He said that the customers and staff loved hearing and we had everybody in the store dancing about. Nicola and Georgia spoke to him and Carolyn at the end to thank them for having us and for more yummy snacks.
Thank you also to Mrs Burgon, Mrs Seawright, and Miss Bethell for coming along to support us! We also want the thank all the pupils, parents and siblings for giving up their Saturday morning – Keeva and Demi-Leigh were great singers too!
What an amazing effort from our amazing choir this morning at Marks and Spencer’s in Livingston! We had such a fun time singing to the staff and customers – one little girl in particular loved our singing! We were lucky to be given a yummy “posh” snack which helped us sing for over an hour! Here are some pictures of us enjoying our treats and singing our hearts out – Mrs Duncan enjoyed joining in with ‘Unto Us’.
A big thank you to Mrs Thomson and Mrs Roy who counted the money we raised – an astonishing £350!!

Some of our Choir members sang to the Memory Cafe group at Rosemount Court on Monday. Chris from the Church organised the event and was super impressed with our Choir’s beautiful voices and fantastic behaviour. We were even treated to a biscuit and some juice – yum yum!
