1st Star: We’ve been learning about the Yanomami people in the Amazon Rainforest.
2nd Star: We all achieved a pom-pom for behaving well during the fire alarm practice.
Wish: We would like to add more tricky words on our word wall.
1st Star – We enjoyed taking part in the MacMillan coffee morning and eating all the delicious cakes!

Wish – We are looking forward to doing musical activities with Miss Heenan and Mrs Gray from NYCOS.
1st star: We used chalk to create beautiful Toucan pictures from the rainforest.
2nd star: We learned about colours in French.
Wish: We would like to make a rainforest area in our classroom.
1st Star – We enjoyed making the pirate ships and labelling them.
2nd Star – We loved making the wanted posters about pirates. We used persuasive language to do it.
Wish – To go on a school trip.

We are thoroughly enjoying our Pirate theme. This week we have researched famous pirates including Blackbeard and Mary Read. We found out some interesting facts about them. Did you know Blackbeard put fuses at the end of his beard to scare people?
We also looked at pirate clothing and were challenged to be creative and design our own pirate costume.
1st Star We enjoyed our visit from the strings players as part of Bathgate Music Festival.
2nd Star We have had fun keeping fit this week by walking for a mile and by having P.E. in the hall with Mrs Coutts.
Wish We are looking forward to our assembly next week.
As we are a Rights Respecting school we have been looking at the articles from the UNCRC that are especially related to our life in school and class. After a whole class discussion we identified which articles we could use. We then decided what the children and the teacher could do to help the children get these rights. We then brought it to life my making a treasure chest display.
1st Star: We enjoyed playing dodgeball in PE.
2nd Star: We listened carefully and voted for our new pupil council representatives.
Wish: We are looking forward to helping the primary ones in school.
