A1 and P1 Literacy Task 25/03/20

Wow … those spider man lunges and bunny hops were tough at PE this morning!  Once you have had a drink and a rest have a look at today’s Literacy Task.

PM Writing Task – The Big Tree

Learning about Words

Parents please ask the children to:

  • Look at the pictures carefully and talk about who and what is in them
  • Read the labels of each picture
  • Use the list of key words and the labels to make sentences

Next, look inside your pack for “The Big Tree – Activity 1”.  Practice reading and writing each key word in the small boxes then use them to complete the sentences.  Make sure you read each sentence back to yourself to ensure it makes sense.  In the box at the bottom, draw a picture to match the sentences then colour it in.  Post or email a photo of your completed work.  Remember to write your name and date at the top.  Take your time and use your neatest handwriting!

A1 and P1 Art Activity

This afternoon can you create a rainbow picture at home.  Once finished, place it in your window for everyone to see!   Why not go for a walk with your family members, keeping yourself safe by socially distancing, and count how many rainbows you can see.  Lets cheer others up during this difficult time with our beautiful art work.  Here are the rainbows that Mrs Bryce made with  her children.  Please send us pictures of your rainbows so we can see them.  Enjoy!

Tuesday 24th March

Good Morning A1.  How are we all feeling today?  Well done to those who completed their study ladder tasks yesterday.  If you didn’t manage to get onto study ladder yesterday then you can still log on and complete your numeracy task today.

For your literacy tasks this morning, please see the attached visual timetable.  Hope you have fun learning at home this morning!  Now go and get your PE kits on so you are ready to join in with P.E with Joe!

Stay Safe Outdoors!

Dear Parents/Carers

As the weather continues to improve and the children spend more and more time outdoors, please be reminded that there are some health risks that come with spending time in the great outdoors.  In grassy or woodland areas, it is important to be aware of the health risks carried by ticks. Ticks are tiny spider-like creatures which attach themselves to passing animals and people. Lyme disease is a bacterial infection  spread to humans by infected ticks. It’s usually easier to treat if it’s diagnosed early so please check your child’s body each night, especially after attending Outdoor Learning Events.
