Edinburgh Clan Class Charter
The pupils of Edinburgh Clan have been busy creating our very own Class Charter. Using the book Our Class is a Family as inspiration, we reflected on how we can build a positive classroom where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and supported. The story encouraged us to think about the important role each person plays in making our clan a happy and successful place to learn. Last week, in Ben Lawers, we discussed our rights and worked together to choose four rights for our clan charter. We talked about how we can respect these rights as right holders, and how our teacher, Miss Robertson can respect our rights as the duty bearer. As our clan charter has a Disney theme, we each drew our favourite Disney character as our way of signing the charter. P4/5 off to a great start!
P4/5 have had a great few weeks back! In literacy we have started our core targets and spelling and in Numeracy are enjoying Maths No Problem! We’ve played a Purple Sharock in Science as part of our living on planet earth topic and have voted to learn about mini topic Mythology before we start Romans after Sept holiday. Take a look at our Classroom Charter. We learned about Rights Holders and Duty Bearers. We decided what a Quality Teacher and Quality Pupil will do in our class. We created play and learn rules and decided how we will be Ready, Respectful and Safe in Primary 1 so that we can all have our right to play, learn, be safe and be listened to.
