Assessment & Parental Involvement
Assessment is ongoing throughout the year. Practitioners regularly observe and monitor your child’s development using curriculum tracking tools. Each child’s needs are met through planning tailored to their individual age and stage of development.
The nursery offers regular Stay and Play sessions, providing parents and carers with the opportunity to join in the nursery experience. These sessions allow you to see what your child is learning and enjoying, and can support you in extending their learning and development at home.
While all practitioners are involved in your child’s care and learning, your child will be assigned a key worker. This key worker will be your main point of contact and will work closely with you to ensure your child is supported in all areas of their development. There will be opportunities for both formal and informal discussions about your child’s progress, and any areas where additional support may be helpful.
We are proud to maintain an open-door policy. Staff are always available for a quick chat, or if you would prefer a more private conversation, appointments can be arranged with the appropriate team member.
