Burravoe Primary School

Chinese New Year is a festival where people celebrate their New Year. Mrs Underwood read us a story of a race and there was a mouse, a cat, horses and sheep there were a lot of animals and there was a challenge to cross a river,  the mouse cheated by going on the back of an ox and then we drew pictures  of the animals that came in first, second and third. Me, Melissa and Leah were all horses because we were born in 2002 and other people were different animals like sheep, dragons, monkey and cockerels. We could use any thing to draw our pictures like crayons and felt tips. Some of us looked at pictures to help us to see what the animals looked like.

I woke up on Christmas morning and woke up Lisa, Debbie and Dad. I got a blue DSi XL from santy. I got PJs from Mam and Dad and a calender, a pooping penguin and a Wallece and Gromit manual from Lisa, Debbie and Stuart. Yesterday I bought New Super Mario Bros Ds and I am nearly finished World 6 Castle. On the 1st James came for tottie soup then we played our DSi XLs, we’ve got the same. Mia, Bradley and Sofia came over after tottie soup to visit. On Boxing day nearly all my cousins were  having dinner at Nanny and Pops. Me, James and Josie  have DSi XLs.

On Christmas morning I got up and went to open my parcels from Santie! I got a Acer Aspire one netbook, I love it so much. I also got a Chatimal (Talking Hamster), A small African drum, Ipod docking system, a new watch and lots more things (well not lots but a few!). After we opened our presents we had breakfast. I looked at my netbook and when I was going to switch it off it said; Switch of Kay’s New Netbook so Santie must have set it up for me. I played with my toys until I we went to go to my Aunties for Christmas dinner. All of my cousins and Aunties and Uncles were there so I had a fun Christmas.

On Friday it was the Christmas party. I helped my mam by putting a apple and orange in each party bags and trust me their was loads! Jayde came and helped me and we finished them in like half an hour! The party began and Me, Jayde and Nicole danced and talked until we all played party games! We played Musical bumps but everyone their was so good at it we had to play Musical statues! We also played Musical arms which is a game when there is people in a line and hook their arm, The other people go around them and when the music stops you hook into their arm. Its kinda like musical chairs. We also play the grand old duke of york. My mam came around with ice cream, everyone was so exhausted that they ate it all! After that SANTA CAME! Santa gave everybody there presents my dad helped by shouting out the names for the children to come and get their presents. We had to sing songs to make santa come in. I got a ncklace making kit as my present. After we had a few more games and we could do what ever we wanted after that. After the party, Me and Lucy played a throwing game while the adults were clearing up in the kitchen. It was a very exhausting and fun night!

When the school was closed we wrote news paper reports as our homework. We hope you like them. The My weekend post was real though.
