Primary 7 goes to Voxter

This week primary 7 have been over night at Voxter as part of our john muir award. On the first day we went canoeing to a small island called Burgastoo and it was covered in mooritoogs. We had a race back to Muckle Roe in our teams. After we got back to the pontoon we put the canoes back on the trailer and wen jumping in the see. We even got Mr Balfour to jump in we had warm wetsuits on so it wasn’t cold.  That night for tea we had a BBQ.

The next day we went to a place called the Burn of Valayre and got put in groups of three and went up the burn. At the top we had our lunch. When we were going down each group got to lead part of the way down. At the bottom we went through a tunnel that lead to a beach.

We walked back to Voxter got our stuff and went on the bus back to school. When we got back at school we had a break till the end of the day.

We all found the trip really fun!

What primary 6 do when primary 7 are away!

On Tuesday when the primary sevens were away we had our own fun day outside.

First we went on the walk and then we went and helped Duncan shovel top soil into the new veggie patch.

After break we headed for Michaelswood because it was such a nice day. We saw all the dinosaurs and daisy the cow and also sat on the mushrooms. We walked right up to the top and came back down again because we were all so hot.

When we got back down we helped Duncan again and went for lunch.

When we came back inside from break we went to the trees for our ERICS time, we really enjoyed reading up a tree!

It was a fun day!
