Elsie’s rock pool
A couple of weeks ago we started making our rock pools out of clay in art. We first made a bowl and covered it in stone like shapes, clay shells and starfish. This took us at least 2 weeks. Scottish Ensemble
Today the musicians from the Scottish Ensemble came to our school. They taught the fiddlers a song by Mozart. Also they taught us about plucking, and how to do Vibrato. We performed to primary 4/5/6 and 7. The Scottish Ensemble played different notes when we played the bits we knew. And we practiced for 2 hours. By Holly and Asia.  Â

5 Shetland Schools – The Art World @ Bonhoga
Today, primaries 1 and 6 went to see the exhibition at Bonhoga.  They saw all the work that they had done with Mrs Hunter and Amy Gear in Art. They also saw work done by children from other schools in Shetland.
We asked the primary 1 what their favourite things were. They said “busy bogies”, “the firework”, “outside in the long grass among the sculptures” and “finding pencils upstairs”
