The outline of the 6 sessions are as follows:
Session 1: 24th September 2024 – What I need to grow and develop
Session 2: 29th October 2024 – Pedagogy and play
Session 3: 26th November 2024 – Observation, interpretation and documentation
Session 4: 28th January 2025 – Interactions, Experiences and Spaces
Session 5: 18th February 2025 – Responsive and Intentional Planning
Session 6: 25th March 2025 – Transitions
**Please note all session times are 3.30pm – 5pm and by registering you are signing up to attend all six sessions**
Before each session, there will be a 30 minute video sent to you, which will encourage you to reflect on your current practice. It is important on signing up to this event that you commit to completing this independent learning before attending sessions. The sessions will then be used to explore these themes further, through professional dialogue, reflection and collaboration with other practitioners.
By engaging with these sessions it is hoped that you will be able to reflect on your current practice and add to this by building new knowledge from listening to those attending also share their practice, perspectives and points of view.
These sessions are a linked series and it is important that when signing up, you are committed to attending all six sessions.
Target audience
Please be aware that the target audience for this event is professionals within the education sector in Scotland. To register, please enter either a school, establishment, local authority or Glow email address. If you work in Scottish education and would like to attend but do not have a Glow or work email address, please email esevents@educationscotland.gov.scot with the name of your setting or service, to request a place. Thank you for your understanding.
Ticket allocation
It is not possible to transfer your booking to anyone else. If you are unable to attend, please cancel your booking to free up a space for another participant. Please remember that for security purposes it is very important that you do not share event information with anyone else to provide them access to this event.
Joining instructions
Joining instructions will be sent out 48 hours before the event. Attendees are advised to double check they receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite to the email address they registered with as this may result in not receiving these instructions and could obstruct you from attending the event. Please contact us if you have still not received joining instructions one hour before the event start time. We would advise you to check your junk files for emails about the event.
Request for advance information
If you have specific accessibility requirements (e.g. you need slides/more information to be sent to you in advance, or you need breaks at specific intervals) we would welcome more information about this in advance. Whilst it is your choice whether to disclose this information, doing so will help us to better understand your needs and plan how best to support your engagement.
