Deepening our understanding of a range of neurodiverse presentations. Exploring strategies to support children, with a needs based approach. Ensuring educators’ knowledge of policy and procedures for effective documentation. |
Aims:
Session 1. To uplevel our knowledge on a variety of Additional Support Needs and brain types. To understand ways that children communicate their needs through their behaviours. To help develop nurturing, consistent support through strong relationships. Session 2. To support Neurodiverse / Additional Support Needs to positively impact all. Explore what we can do to support through our Core Provision. Developing a holistic multi-agency approach and strong links with families. Session 3. Strengthening understanding of record keeping and individual support plans. To share impact of change for child and educator. |
Target Audience – ELC practitioners, Primary 1 teachers, 0.1s, teachers and support staff
This course is run online over 3 twilight sessions from 4pm – 5:30pm:
