Two of our P7s had a great time performing an extract from Tam O’Shanter at the P7 Burns Supper at Ayr Town Hall on Tuesday. They enjoyed the full Burns Supper experience with their P7 peers from across the authority. The event was
fully funded and supported by Alloway Burns Club.

Thinking Day Celebrations
Well done to all the pupils who took part in the Girlguiding Ayrshire South, 100 years of Thinking Day Parade in Ayr on Sunday. They had a great time.
P7 Heartstart
P7 had a visit from the Heart Start Team. They were taught how to put people into the recovery position and how to perform CPR. We all have the power to make a difference. By taking the time to learn these skills they could save a life one day.

Burns Competition Winners January 2026
Well done to all our winners at our annual Burns Competition. The standard was incredibly high again this year. Well done to our overall winner who receives a book of Burns Poems from the Market Inn Burns Club. Several of our pupils also recited their poems to the congregation at the Auld Kirk Burns Supper Lunch on Sunday – we were very proud of them.
Ukraine Appeal
A huge well done goes to our P6 class for organising and leading our Shoe Box appeal to collect items for young people in the Ukraine for Christmas. They wrote letters, put up posters in the local area and even put together a radio advert. Thank you to everyone who donated to this important cause.
