Hello from the Pupils

Hello and welcome to Barr Primary School!

We’re the school captain and vice captain here at Barr, and we’re thrilled to share what makes our school so special. Barr Primary is a small school, but it’s filled with friendly faces and a great sense of community. Everyone knows each other, and it feels like one big family from EY to P7. Our teachers and staff are brilliant, always ready to help and making learning really enjoyable for everyone.

At Barr, we love all our subjects – especially PE, art, maths, and music with Mrs Gibson. We also have plenty of play-based learning, which lets us get creative and work together. And it’s not just about classroom learning! We have whole-school play days and outdoor days where we get to explore the amazing countryside around us. Being such a small school means we all get involved in everything, which makes us feel really connected.

There are some fantastic events each year too! The interhouse championships are always exciting, and assemblies with Miss McBean bring us all together. P5 swimming lessons are a favourite, and everyone looks forward to the school show, where we each get a role. Daily dancing, baking sessions, school trips, and the village Gala (where we P7s get crowned King and Queen!) are all highlights of our school year.

Barr Primary is a special place because everyone here works hard and helps each other out. It’s a small school with big resources, amazing teachers, and the friendliest community you could imagine.

Thank you for visiting our website – we hope you can feel the Barr spirit and hope to see you soon!
