Assemblies

Pupils take part in assemblies led by Mrs Murphy.  During these sessions, they work collectively to explore the Wee HGIOS (How Good is our School).  This allows them to be part of the school self-evaluation process and explore themes such as SHANARRI in a way that is meaningful to them.  The pupils engage very well with these sessions and are an integral part of our self-evaluation wheel.

Classes also take responsibility for leading assemblies throughout the year.  Each class presents one general assembly, a seasonal service and participate in the end of year service.  These assemblies are a chance for parents/carers and the community to get a chance to find out what we have been learning throughout the year.  P1-3 presented an assembly on space, where they shared their learning about the what they had learned about space and fascinated parents with the size of the universe.  P4-7 have been tackling Growth Mindset in their learning and decided to share with us what this was and tips that we can use to develop a Growth Mindset within ourselves.  It was a very interesting assembly and made us all rethink our attitudes.  P1-3 delivered the Christmas Service and told the Christmas Story through toys in a toy shop, it was elf-tastic!  P4-7 shared a sensational Easter Service with the community in the church telling the story through the lives of Three Trees.
