Barr Primary School is located within the village of Barr, in the southwest of Scotland. Barr is a conservation village that is situated within the Stinchar Valley amidst beautiful surroundings. The village has a primary school, shop, church, bowling green and hotel.
Barr is approximately 8 miles from Girvan. There are many things to do in Barr and the surrounding area. As well as excellent golfing facilities at Girvan, Dailly and Turnberry, there are the usual field sports, excellent rivers for fishing and some superb routes for walking.
The National Trust for Scotlandβs Culzean Castle can be found close by as well as the Galloway Forest Park. There is a harbour at Girvan for those who enjoy sailing.
