Digital Champion Committee: Leading the Way in Digital Learning
Our Digital Champion Committee at Barr Primary School has already made significant strides in enhancing digital literacy and skills across our school community. During Digital Learning Week 2024, the committee took the lead in providing valuable training sessions for both staff and pupils. These sessions covered a range of digital resources, empowering everyone with the tools they need to make the most of the digital world.
In addition to this, the committee facilitated the borrowing of cutting-edge technology from the South Ayrshire Digital Lending Library, giving our pupils hands-on experience with devices and software that enhance their learning.
The Digital Champion Committee has also been proactive in identifying areas where further development is needed. They have outlined clear actions to address these needs, ensuring continuous improvement in our digital education efforts. Furthermore, they have played a key role in promoting digital safety and cyber resilience. Through our participation in Safer Internet Day 2024, the committee guided discussions and activities that highlighted the importance of staying safe and responsible online.
These initiatives reflect our commitment to fostering a digitally literate and resilient community at Barr Primary School, preparing our pupils for the challenges and opportunities of the future.
