In our class we explore the eight curricular areas through engaging, challenging and creative contexts. One of the best things about our class is getting to work together with our peers, we are a team!

P4-7 is always a hive of activity.

We have been exploring portal stories in our Talk for Writing with a focus on enhancing ‘description’.  Pupils can confidently retell the story of Alice in Wonderland with impressive actions.  We will plan our own versions of the tale using boxed up plans and then complete our shared writing.

Collectively, we LOVE numeracy and mathematics.  We’re always up for a challenge!  We enjoy interactive maths starters such as Magic Square, Emoji Maths, Oodle and Countdown and many others.  We use Number Talks to explain our thinking.

We have had the privilege of learning little bits of Gaelic recently as Mrs McBirnie has been training in how to deliver Gaelic sessions and likes to practice.  We have soaked this up. We will then explore this further with a Gaelic instructor later on in the year.

We have been Ocean Explorers this session and have been learning all about how to look after our wonderful oceans.  We are shocked about how some people treat our oceans and we want to do whatever we can to help them.
