Welcome to Our Class
This year we are excited to have a P1–7 class led by Mrs McBirnie and Miss Burton, with support from Mrs Trotter and Mrs Sinclair. Together, we create a supportive and engaging learning environment where every pupil has the chance to shine.
Our class follows a balanced approach to learning. Pupils complete independent learning tasks across the week, alongside small group activities and whole-class teaching sessions. This ensures that children learn in different ways and at the right pace for them.
We are fortunate to have two distinct classroom spaces:

The Creative Classroom – a vibrant space with a role play corner, arts and crafts area, small world and construction play, and a welcoming reading corner and library. Pupils can choose to work here if they are engaged in active learning or are comfortable with a little background noise. Flexible seating and lap desks help everyone find a spot that suits their learning style.

The Calm Classroom – a quiet, focused space for structured teaching inputs and independent tasks. Here, pupils can enjoy a more peaceful environment, access our IT area with desktop computers, or spend time in the calm corner, which provides a place for quiet regulation.
Across both classrooms, we encourage pupils to take ownership of their learning, work collaboratively, and develop independence. We are proud of the way our learners support one another and make the most of the wide range of opportunities available.
