Primary 3/4 have just finished their novel, Pugs of the Frozen North. We created a mind map of the key events of the story. Then we sequenced these events so that we could remember the order of the story.
Louise: “Using this list we made a map.”
Mia: “The map will help us remember what happened in the story even when we have not read the book in a few years.”
Milosz: “At the start of the lesson I didn’t know that making a map could be such fun!”
Alan: “I need to improve my handwriting.”
Dominik: “I can now explain to somebody else a summary of our story.”
Mia: “It was fun but at little scary at times.”
Leon: “It was fun and funny because people got flung and I am going start Judo!”
Leon: “The Judo was very awesome and we learned about Japanese words!”
Steven: “I didn’t like it because I got flung on the ground but it didn’t hurt.”
Alexander: “When we were doing the Judo Jack showed me a move where he flipped me onto the mat. I would quite like to do it again. It was a bit frightening.”
Sara: “I liked it when he flipped me down because it was pretty funny.”
