Session 6: Responsible

Our focus today from the SHANARRI Wellbeing wheel was ‘Responsible’.

When Mrs Mackey came into school this morning before the boys and girls arrived, she saw a flock of sparrows feeding on our fat balls we made! She videoed this and shared this with the boys and girls, and congratulated them on how successful they have been in attracting and helping local wildlife, especially during Winter! We think we have made the best bird food in Paisley!

We risk assessed our garden area and saw that it was very icy and not safe for us to learn and play in, and thought we should conduct our learning in another way, which was very responsible! We were responsible by making our own wellbeing animation, where we discussed the indicators of the SHANARRI wellbeing wheel. It is very impressive and we shall share it with families and the school tomorrow once we put in a few more finishing touches! So watch this space!

We were also very responsible by learning more about the habitats of animals and insects through the magical shine a light book titled “Secrets of Winter”. In this story we shined a torch light behind the pages to reveal where animals choose to live in the Winter.
