Good afternoon everyone! Our last few days together is here! Where has this last year gone? This will be my final homework/reminder post for you. Please keep reading to see our plans for this week.

Personal Reading Challenge: Your reading challenge ends on Wednesday. A huge well done to all of you who have made  a great effort to increase your reading again this term. It has been quite impressive! Even Margaret from the library commented on how much reading you had been doing throughout our year together. Please keep it up when you move into Primary 6.

We will still be having ERIC time so please remember to bring your book to school with you.

  1. We shall have our final P.E. slot on Tuesday.  The hall is in use so weather permitting we will venture outside. Please ensure you have suitable outdoor clothing. P.E. kits should be taken home after this session.
  2. We will be having a Read and Munch with P2/1 on Tuesday afternoon so you may bring in some fruit or vegetables to eat while you read.
  3. The Summer Reading Challenge is now underway. If you are interested in taking part, please click here to see all of the relevant details.
  4. Please bring in a plastic bag to take home all of your old jotters.
  5. Miss McDowall has put a post on our blog regarding school books and resources. Please click here for full details.
  6. School closes for the summer holidays on Wednesday at 1.00pm – woooohoooooo!

See you all tomorrow. Enjoy the remainder of your weekend.

Still working in Primary 1

We hope you enjoyed the Summer Assembly today.  We are still working away in primary 1.  We have been learning about capital letters – how to write them and the letter names.

On Tuesday we will have a special Read and Munch with our P3H reading buddies. Miss Hunter and Mrs Ferguson will provide the healthy munch if you would like to bring your favourite book to share with your buddy.

Week Beginning 19/06/17

Good evening!

I hope you all had a restful weekend and have been enjoying the sunshine tonight. Children do not have homework this week unless they are still to complete their factfile. We heard many of the talks today and they were fantastic! It is clear how much time and effort went in to preparing these talks and I look forward to hearing more of them throughout the week.

Due to the fact children do not have homework this week, today’s letters are in school bags.

Thank you to everyone who brought their summer clothes in today for the end of year assembly. Can I ask that anyone who has not brought their clothes in brings these tomorrow in a bag. Children will be taking completed work home later this week. It would be handy if everyone could bring a plastic bag in to take the work home with them.

I look forward to celebrating our learning in P2H with many of you at the end of year assembly.

Have a great week!
Miss Hamilton

P1 and P7 Buddy Picnic – Monday 26th June

We will be having a picnic on Monday 26th June to allow the P1 and P7 buddies to say goodbye to each other. We will have the picnic from 11.45-12.15 so please bring your packed lunch, a rug (if you have one) and maybe some treats to share. If the weather is good, we will eat in Picnic Paradise and if not, we will eat in the P7 Huts. P1s can collect their school meal at 12.15 as usual.

Thank you.

P1H this week

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and are enjoying the sunshine!  We have no homework this week.  Your child came home with their lines for the assembly on Wednesday.  Could you please help them to try and learn them-don’t worry if they forget a couple of words!   If your child is finishing before  next Wednesday, could you please let me know so that all of their belongings get sent home?

Thank you for sending in summer clothes for our assembly.  If you have not already done so, please send your child in with an outfit tomorrow as they need it for the dress rehearsal and then the performance on Wednesday.

As I mentioned last week, book bags do not have to come into school any more.  Gym bags will be sent home at the end of the week.

On the last day, children are welcome to bring in their own toys from home to play with for part of the morning.  Please do not send in anything valuable or sentimental!

Looking forward to seeing you ar our end of year assembly.

P5 Assembly Costumes – River Clyde

Good morning.  This is just a reminder of your costumes if you are in the River Clyde part of our assembly on Wednesday 21st. As discussed at yesterday’s rehearsal, if you are in the ‘public section’ please wear ‘normal’ out of school clothes. If you have any props e.g. a map, camera, shopping bag/handbag etc. it  would be great if you could bring them in. If you are in the ‘school’ section school uniform should be worn, if possible a shirt and tie would be perfect.

When you have organised your costume, please bring it to school as soon as possible (it must be in school for Tuesday as this is our dress rehearsal). Please remember to have it in a bag which is labelled clearly with your name and class. Your costume will be kept in class until our assembly.

Enjoy your weekend,

Mrs Hughes
