Parent Council

The Parent Council aims to give a voice to parents and carers within the school community. It is made up of a voluntary group of parents who are voted on at the Annual General Meeting. The Parent Council works with the staff of Crieff High School to help deliver the aims of the school in achieving the best outcomes for young people.

The focus of the Parent Council for the 2019-20 school year is:

Updating and simplifying the constitution
Improving communication and engagement with parents
Working collaboratively with the new Headteacher in delivering his aims and vision for Crieff High School

Meetings

We aim to have 2 meetings per term. These are advertised to parents/carers by email and reminders on Facebook and Twitter. All are welcome to attend.

We discuss items suggested by parents and staff and give the opportunity for parents to actively contribute to decisions made in the school. The meetings are attended by the Headteacher or a SMT representative if he cannot attend. We also invite others including Head Boy/Girl and local councillors.

The AGM is held in September.

We would encourage all parents/carers to come along to meetings which are friendly and relaxed and, whilst they have a formality in terms of an agenda and minutes, they do offer the chance for parents to raise and discuss topics which are important to them.
