Emergency Services

So this week we have been learning about the emergency services as part of Developing the Young Workforce Week.
We have learned about the police, fire and ambulance services, what they do, how to contact them and how they help us.
We have had such fun learning and creating this week, linked to the emergency services.  We all gave our fingerprints for crimes we had ‘committed’ 😜

Homework sheet

Hello there,
There has been a problem for some people when accessing the homework on Teams. It seems that the view is different depending on whether it is accessed on a mobile phone or on a desktop/laptop. So here is a photo of to make sure everyone can see all of it.
I’ll do my best to solve any similar glitches before the next homework upload.
Many Thanks,
Pamela Donald.

Microsoft Teams Homework Reminder

From today, homework will not be assigned through Microsoft Teams.  Information on how to access and upload homework should be available via the main Blog page from the management team.
Mr Green introduced Microsoft Teams to Primary 1 this week.  We talked about taking good photos of our work to upload and how to ‘hand in’ homework in our personal assignments page.

PE Days with effect from Monday 7th September 2020 | Whitefield Primary School

  • After the October holidays Primary 1 will have a session of outdoor P.E. on a Wednesday . Children are asked to come to school in a pair of jogging bottoms/leggings on this day as well as trainers suitable for taking part in P.E. outdoors.
  • Also after the October week Primary 1 will be starting one indoor P.E. Yoga session per week.  This will be on a Friday.  Children can come to school in jogging bottoms or leggings on this day also.  They will not require a change of shoes for Yoga as we will be doing it in our socks or tights.

Homework for Monday 10th December – Year 6's Class Blog

  • Sumdog are holding a competition this week over the whole of Scotland to see who can answer the most questions – log into your Sumdog account to be in with a chance of winning. As a reward for taking part, each pupil who answers 100 questions will receive an item for their Sumdog House! Good luck!
  • Please  log into your Active Learn account and read your book for this week. What sounds can you spot? Can you find any of your common words?
