What a fun day we had today for our Christmas Party!  We had big speakers outdoors for music and we played lots of games and did a lot of dancing!  Some of the moves had to be seen to be believed!  Brilliant fun!

We have been learning how to make a paper chain using paper.  We all made a section and then joined them altogether to make a huge long chain which we hung from the ceiling in the classroom.

On Tuesday, we used an online video to help us draw penguins  and then we made our own cute penguins using paper.  They are very cute!

Here are our finished winter tree scenes, as promised.    Just lovely.

Yesterday we made reindeer headbands for today’s Reindeer Dash in aid of CHAS!  We had a great fun on the way round the school  prancing like reindeer.

Then it was Christmas Lunch!  Yuuummmm!

This afternoon we were very creative during art to create some frosty winter tree scenes.  We used our hand shape for the tree silhouette and added cotton, wool, paint and glitter to create a very wintery tree.  When they are on display and have replaced our Autumn trees I will post a photo of the final products.

Some of us were learning cvc words by playing games in groups today with Mrs Watson.  It was good fun!

Today we read the story of the first Christmas and learned about Christian symbols. Then we decorated a cross to make it looked like stained glass.

We have been playing a game to help us recognise our common words. The challenge is to splat the given word as quick as you can find it. We played in pairs and the first to 3 was the winner.

We had some time to choose and play this afternoon.  Miss Donald was so proud and amazed at some of our creations.
