Thank you to those who attended our homework workshops on Tuesday and Wednesday this week – it was great to see as many of you there and I hope you found it beneficial 🙂

I know some people were unable to attend due to other commitments – if you have any questions at all please feel free to come and see us.

Wednesday 12th September

Save the date to meet the teacher. There will be two drop in sessions at:

 3.00pm-3.45pm

 5.30pm-6.15pm

Each session will begin in the school gym hall followed by an opportunity to visit your child’s class and meet their teacher to view some of the resources that your child will be using over the coming year.

Today we visited Mr McMullan and he showed us how to make honey.

We listened really well and learned that it takes 12 bees to make a tea spoon of honey.

This week children will start their homework routine.

To help with this we are running two drop in workshops .

Today we listened to the story of Elmer by David McKee.

We coloured our own Elmers.

Then we had to think about what makes us special.

We visited Mrs Tagg and Mrs Sneddon go find out about their jobs.

We got to see all the things in the office.

Some of us got to use the telephone to call the ladies in the kitchen.

Then we went to visit Miss Ferguson and see her office.

Today we learned about the sound a.

We practised a by rainbow writing.

We sand the a song to help us remember the sound.

Then we got to write in our new special books.

Then we explored inside the a bag.

Please take the time to discuss your child’s learning with them and find out what they have been learning in class.

It can be a good distraction if your child is upset in the line in the morning.
