It is the ‘Christmas Lunch and Christmas Jumper Day’ this Wednesday. If possible we ask that children bring a donation to give to the local foodbank (tins or dried food) instead of a £1 donation. Hopefully we can spread a little extra Christmas cheer by helping local families.
Please hand in the slips letting us know what your child would like for the Christmas lunch on Wednesday. Children in p1/2 get free school meals but still need to indicate what they would like.
Thursday is an In-Service Day due to the election.
The school nativity is this Friday. Please can children wear black trousers or leggings to school – they will be provided with a t-shirt to wear on stage.

Maths
We have been learning to count sets of objects and then find out ‘how many altogether’. Complete the dominoes worksheet to find out how many spots altogether on each domino.
We enjoyed the new learning zone today, which has been changed to a Christmas theme! We decorated the tree in the house, played with the arctic small world scene and dressed up. We are excited about the Christmas shop opening soon!
We are developing 5 core learning skills across the school this year to help children with their learning. The first one we are focusing on is Communication.
Lynda Keith visited us today and taught us more about good communicating using ‘Teddy Talk’. We enjoyed talking and sharing what we liked about the teddy we had and the teddy our partner had.
We had a great day for Children in Need and all of Primary 1 got to dance with Pudsey and participate in an interactive kids workout with Joe Wicks, the new schools ambassador for Children In Need.
Miss Donald was blown away with the amazing dance moves the children were breaking out, especially the break dancing!
As part of our school project to develop the outdoor learning environment we planted trees yesterday! First of all we had a look at the existing trees in the school grounds and tried to identify them by matching their branches to pictures. It was pretty tricky, but Miss Donald was so impressed by our investigative and identification skills!
