P.E. Reminder

Just a wee reminder that our P.E. days  are Wednesday and Friday.  On these days children should come to school already dressed for P.E. with jogging bottoms/leggings and school polo shirt and jumper/cardigan.
Wednesday is outdoor P.E. and Friday is indoor Yoga.

The Hungry Caterpillar

This week we have been reading the hungry caterpillar as our story of the week.  We have watched the mini animation too and learned more about symmetry, ordering and the life cycle of a caterpillar.
Today we made our own caterpillars ordering the days of the week and matching what the caterpillar ate on each day.   We are going to finish our caterpillars tomorrow!

Wee Reminders

P.E. Days

Homework Sheets

Homework sheets sent home must not be returned to school, due to covid restrictions.  It should be completed, photographed and uploaded onto assignments in Teams.  If anyone still needs help with this please let me know via teams or by phoning the school.  There is also a link on the main blog to videos showing you how to ‘hand in’ homework.

Blazer

If anyone is missing a school blazer please let me know, as I have found one but it has no name on it.  I will send it home when I find out who it belongs to.

Outdoor P.E.

Today we had a fun time out on the pitch for P.E.  We did some races as a warm up and then we used hockey sticks to practise passing a ball to each other. Over the next few weeks we will be using a variety of equipment to develop our physical and coordination skills in passing, catching, throwing and controlling.

Autumn Art

Today we read an online story called ‘Don’t Hog the Hedge’, all about animals getting ready to hibernate for the winter.  We learned about hibernation and discussed lots of different things that happen in Autumn.   Then we made autumn trees by drawing round our arm and hand for the tree and using our fingers for the leaves.  We mixed the brown and orange colours by ourselves, using our knowledge of colour mixing, using primary and secondary colours.
I will post a photo of the finished trees once they are dry and complete.
