ORT Characters:
We have started reading our Oxford Reading Tree books in class.
In your child’s folder we have included the characters from the books:
- Mum
- Dad
- Floppy
- Biff
- Chip
- Kipper
Please go over these characters with your child every night so they become familiar with the characters and their names.

- What sounds are in their name?
- Can you sound out their names?

- Complete the worksheet inside your homework folder
- Make sure your child is holding their pencil properly
- Make sure your child starts at the correct place and writes their sounds correctly
- Encourage your child to rub any out mistakes and try again
Maths:
In school the children have been playing Sum Dog on the school computers and have been really enjoying it. This has shown to help with children mental maths.
In your child’s homework folder is their log in details for Sum Dog (username and password).
