Primary 1 Homework

Sounds

• This week is a revision week of the word families we have learned so far… -an, -am, -ap, -at, -in, -it.  Can you use your sounds to make some words from the word families we have learned?

• Go over your words in your homework folder – sort your words out into words you can read easily and words you find tricky.

• Can you make 4 letter words with your sound cards?

Words

• This weeks words are:

• first, had, little, see

• Please complete the upper and lower case letters  worksheet in your homework folder. Write the correct  capital letter for each sound.

Reading Book

• Please try and read as often as you can at home.  This is making a huge difference to your child’s reading.

• Remember to point to each word as you read it.

• Can you find any of your words or sounds in your book?

• Please try to remember your reading book every day as we read in class every day.
• Following the February holiday, I will begin to issue 3 books over the course of 2 weeks to some children.

Maths

• Please complete the one more, one less worksheet in your homework folder.

• Log-in to your Sumdog account and play some of the games on a computer, phone or tablet.
