Maths

We have been learning about numbers from 0-20. Which number:
  • comes before 15?
  • is after 19?
  • is one more than 12?
  • is one less than 17?

Can you count to 20 and then back again?

We have been adding numbers together by putting the big number in our pocket and then adding on the small number with our fingers. Try these at home:

10 + 3 =

3 + 4 =

1 + 9 =

2 + 11 =

4 + 6  =

0 + 10  =

15 + 5 =

double 2

double 3

Play this game at home:
Click on ‘number bonds‘  and then ‘addition within 10‘.

Fairytale of the Week

In class each week we are going to read a different Fairytale. This week Primary One are looking at The Three Little Pigs.
We will use puppets to act out the Fairytale and even become the characters ourselves.
Please encourage your child to retell the Fairytale to you at home. Ask them about what happens in the beginning, middle and end of the story. How did the character feel? What do they think would happen next?
As always, thank you for your support with homework.
