Today we went to ICT to have a go at painting some familiar characters – Kipper and Floppy! We worked either with a partner or on our own. What do you think?
Just a reminder that tomorrow is our Eco Active Day so children should come to school in their own clothes (suitable for being outdoors & ones you don’t mind getting a little dirty) ready to join in the action packed day!

Fairytale of the Week
We are continuing to use The Three Little Pigs as our Fairytale this week.
This week we will use puppets to act out the Fairytale and even become the characters ourselves.
Please encourage your child to retell the Fairytale to you at home. Ask them about what happens in the beginning, middle and end of the story. How did the character feel? What do they think would happen next?
What a brilliant afternoon we had a Woodlands Got Talent! There were lots of super acts – singing, dancing and even some magic tricks!
Our class was represented by a singer & we are delighted that she came 3rd!

Fairytale of the Week
In class each week we are going to read a different Fairytale. This week Primary One are looking at The Three Little Pigs.
We will use puppets to act out the Fairytale and even become the characters ourselves.
Please encourage your child to retell the Fairytale to you at home. Ask them about what happens in the beginning, middle and end of the story. How did the character feel? What do they think would happen next?
As always, thank you for your support with homework.
I can’t believe we are at the end of another week. The class have worked so hard this week completing lots of tricky tasks like learning the months of the year, addition sums and learning about planting potatoes.
We had some special helpers join us in the Learning Zone this morning – the Primary 7’s helped us go onto Sum Dog & helped us to create some models. It was hard to tell who had the most fun!!
In gym today we were practicing our balancing skills.
I hope you all have a brilliant holiday & I look forward to seeing everyone on Thursday 14th!

Nursery Rhyme of the Week
What a busy week. We have been working so hard!
I apologise it’s taken me so long to thank you all for coming to the Parent Open Morning last Friday – it was lovely to see so many of you there!
Today we had a look inside our special box from Summerlee to find out all about when Gran was a Girl. We loved trying on all of the clothes, using the camera & feeling how heavy the roller skates were. We even danced along to some of Grannie’s favourite tunes – Shang a Lang by The Bay City Rollers & Daddy Cool by Boney M!
