Homework 28/1/19

Thank you to the super effort being put in with homework – the children are becoming really confident with their common words as a direct result of the time being spent going over them at home.

Literacy

We are continuing to learn about Upper-case letters (capital letters). Please  play this game again at home this week for extra practice:

  • Please take the time to read your child’s reading book as often as you can.                                                                                          Can you spot the upper-case letters in your reading book? What are their names and what sound do they make?
  • This weeks words are: one new out now                              Please continue to revise all words on the Common Words sheet.  Concentrate on the words your child still finds tricky.
  • Complete one page of the homework booklet.
  • With your sound cards can you make the words:

    fat

    red

    rent

    gran

    lamp

    nest

  • Extra challenge:                                                                                           Can you make up a long sentence with your words and sound cards? e.g. She got in the car with the cat.
