Further industrial action over the national pay offer has been announced by teacher unions, the Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS), the Scottish Secondary Teachers’ Association (SSTA) and the National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT) on Tuesday 28 February and Wednesday 1 March 2023.
The exception is that the 23 family learning centres and 23 full-time nurseries will remain open on both days.
The intended school closures may mean that you will need to consider additional childcare arrangements over these dates.
There will not be any school meal provision on site, school transport will not be running and there will not be any breakfast clubs or school crossing patrols on the outlined dates of intended strike action on 28 February and 1 March.
Families in receipt of free school meals based on low income will be reimbursed through a direct payment to bank accounts or via Paypoint voucher to postal addresses which may take up to five working days.
This is a situation that may be subject to change and parents/carers will be informed at the first opportunity if there are further changes to the school day.
Please find below information on the S5&6 Progress assessments that will take place after the Christmas break.
