World Mental Health Day Activities
Here are a few pictures from the activities our pupils took part in for World Mental health day on Friday 8th October. As you can see a great time was had by all!
Mental Health Ambassadors
We are delighted to introduce our new S6 Mental Health Ambassadors who led our activities for World Mental Health Day.
Mary’s Meals
Throughout the month of October, RE classes will be taking part in the Mary’s Meals backpack appeal. This is a campaign to provide children in Malawi and Liberia with the basics they need for their school day, such as pencils, rulers etc. All children are encouraged to bring in whatever they can for this appeal. They have learned in class about the difference that Mary’s Meals makes, giving children in some of the least developed countries in the world the chance to get an education and make their own way out of poverty.
Please do whatever you can to support this effort. A list of the items to be donated can be found on the attached leaflet and the videos below give more information about the campaign.

Show Racism the Red Card Competition Finalists
Show Racism the Red Card is a charity which strongly resonates with our school ethos on equality. Within our Art & Design Department we created a Design unit around the theme of this year’s competition. We decided to communicate the #GenerationEquality theme through a Graphic Design poster campaign; combining imagery, symbolism and text to communicate the powerful anti-racism message and bring attention to Show Racism the Red Card.
Below are the 10 finalists submissions. Please take time to have a look through the wonderful posters created by our pupils and vote on your favourite by clicking on the link below.
