P1/2 Home Learning

Hello P1/2!

Hope you are enjoying spending time with your family and not missing us all too much!

Here are some things you might want to try this week.

  • When you are out on your daily walk/ bike ride/ scooter ride look for some signs of Spring. Draw a picture of them when you get back home.
  • Try Jumpstart Johnny or Joe Wicks P.E to work off all that extra energy (try to get your family to join in!)
  • Read to an adult at home and ask them to read to you.
  • Keep practising your common words and phonemes from your homework pack list.
  • There will be a new Sumdog challenge set for this week. Remember to use your login details to sign in (this is at the front of your homework jotter).

I’ll add more things during the week. I am looking forward to seeing all of your beautiful Spring pictures!

Hello Everyone

Welcome to a new week.  I wonder what you have all been up to last week, what the highlights of your week have been? Maybe like me you’ve been doing the Body Coach P.E. workout with Joe Wicks, maybe you have  being doing some Jump Start Jonny or maybe going out for a walk or on your scooter. I hope you are trying to stay healthy by eating some fruit and vegetables and drinking lots of water.

Young Writers’ Competition

I know that we have some great writers in school. Is anyone keeping a diary? Some of our classes  have entered the Young Writer’s Competitions in school and have even had their stories and poems published in books.

So if you have an interest in writing when you’re not in school, there are new competitions on just now and the deadlines for all the competitions have been extended to 30th April. You can still download a template and take part. Some of the titles are “Animal Adventure” (Age 5-7) “Out of this World” (Age 7-11) and “SOS Sagas Missing” (Age 11-18)

P1 Sumdog

I’m so pleased to see that children are already on Sumdog this morning. Remember twenty minutes  a day on Sumdog is enough and will mean you finish the challenges I set by the end of the week.

I have made a new challenge for this week all about measure and length. Good luck.

P6/7

Good morning everyone and welcome to a new week.  I hope you are all well and still helping around the house.  I continue to miss you all and think about you all every day.

I have set a new challenge for you all on Sumdog for you to work through this week.  Well done to everyone who completed last week’s challenge.

This week I thought we could be kind to each other.  Think of the person who sits to your left in your group.  Imagine you all joined hands in your group and made a circle, who is to your left?  I would like you to create a visualiser on that person, remember to use many interesting adjectives and include everything you know about them.  Always be kind and maybe this is something you could share with them when we eventually all get back together.

Miss Coyle had added some French work for you to work on too.  Have fun completing these tasks too.  Remember to try and get a little exercise each day but it is important to stay safe.

I will hear from you all soon.

Love, Mrs Carroll x

Hello from Miss Coyle

Hello boys and girls. I continue to miss you and hope that you are doing well. It seems ages since we were all at school together and I am looking forward to the day when we can all be in the same building as the St Patrick’s family once again. I hope you are all getting some exercise daily and out into the fresh air as Spring warms up! I have posted below a French Easter activity for the P5/6 and P6/7  and a stations of the cross activity for P4 to P7 since we had to cut short the Lenten prayer club. Keep safe and well.

Hello Everyone

It’s the end of the first week of everyone not being together. I hope you are all staying well, happy and safe at home. I hope everyone is showing kindness and patience in their families. Our fabulous teachers have been setting you some fantastic work and posting great links on the blog. Of course some great questions have being posted by some of you as well.

I hope you are enjoying some of the links Mr Dinsmor and I have been posting and retweeting on Twitter too. There are loads of really great ideas and activities out there from lots of other schools and sites, which we are trying to let you know about.

@StPatricksPrim2

As it’s coming to the end of March I would normally be telling you about the winning house for the month and of course you would be seeing all our Weekly Wonders and Monthly Achievers…. Maybe you could come up with your own reward system at home or maybe decide as a family who deserves a “Weekly Wonder”.  Maybe you could tell us about it.

Stay Safe Everyone.

Hello Primary 2/3

I hope you had a fun Friday and remembered to take your golden time. I think you deserve it!

It feels so strange not to see Mrs Slavin’s lovely children on a Friday. I am missing you all but I’m very excited to keep in touch with you and hear how you’re all getting on through the school blog.

Who is getting up early and getting out of their pyjamas? Has anyone been enjoying Joe Wicks in the morning?

I’ve posted two shape worksheets as revision work. I know you have your pack from Mrs Slavin so the tasks I post will be for the fast finishers. Please do what you can and don’t worry about anything.

Take care,

Mrs Moore
